Respectfully, I disagree. Narcissism has little to do with stalking. Humans, all humans, are narcissistic to some degree. It's something we display everyday. As a person who studied mental health for a number of years, this is what I believe to be the core issue. Stalking is as simple as emotional immaturity. A man who can not disconnect from a woman who no longer has an interest in him is simply emotionally immature. Men who are discharged by women will often keep calling or coming around asking these women for a reason for the break-up; as if that matters. The men who confront women in this manner need only look at their actions in the moment of demanding answers, and he will have all of the answers he needs. I've been let go by women, my ex-wife as well, and I could not walk away without getting some answers. I realized rather quickly that forcing answers that didn't matter and forcing a love that would never happen was coming from a delusional and emotionally immature place. The moment I realized this, my relationships went to entirely different level. Today, I can love someone, walk away if I need to, and sleep like a baby that very night! I don't require answers and I can even wish them well. The ease by which I can depart a relationship doesn't mean that I wasn't in love. It just means that I am now emotionally mature. Find your internal maturity, is what tell friends who I see struggling with break-ups. With all due respect, of course.
